The head of our Skate School was invited to a special lunch with Tony Hawk on the final day of his European Tour. As well as getting to watch the amazing vert demo from Tony and friends, Geoff also got to hang out with the legendary pro, have some food and a bit of a chat!! Amazing.

Manor Park Community School

This time, the Skateboard School was helping up in Coventry at an Activity Day for Manor Park Community School:

“Thank you and the kids thought the sessions were great. The activities were well suited to the students and pitched at the right level and with plenty of challenge. I also thought it was fantastic how some of it was linked to topics that they had covered in science. I think this also surprised them! “

Southwark Park School

Our London instructor enjoyed himself immensely at an activity day for Southwark Park School and it seems so did the children:

“The day was a huge success and all the children who took part were thrilled… (the tutor) was great with the children.”

Southdown School

A recent activity day at Southdown School in bath was incredibly popular. Hear what the organiser had to say:

“Many thanks for the sessions. Again it was a brilliant day, well organised, resourced and coached. The children absolutely loved it. It was great to see children with no experience learn so much in a short time. Some were terrified at first but soon they had huge smiles on their faces, they were so pleased with their achievements. Samuel Cody School

Batheaston Community Day

Rubicon recently helped out at a Community Day organised by Batheaston Leisure Association to help open a new mini ramp in the town. There were loads of children of all ages, and it was a brilliant day and a great success with the children and town. The BLA were kind enough to send us some feedback:

We were really pleased to see so many skateboarders and had many postivie comments about the tuition you provided, one keen skater described it as the best day of his life.

Saints in the Community

Rubicon will be working with Southampton Football Club and the local Community Recreation Ground Trust to help young people in the area get the most from their skatepark facilities. The “Saints in the Community” program will provide coaching sessions on the first Thursday and Friday in June and we’re really excited about this great initiative. Thanks too, to Reskue Skate Shop in Southampton for recommending us.
